Owls Secure #2 Seed in Upcoming DII Tournament, Will Host CCBC Catonsville October 24th

In the programs first year back in competition as a division II member, the Prince George's Community College men's soccer team has earned the #2 seed for the upcoming Region 20 Championship. The Owls finished the regular season 8-2-3 which included a 7-1-2 mark in divisional games and will host #7 CCBC Catonsville (5-9-2, 3-5-2 division record) on Thursday, October 24th at 5 PM.

Prince George's previously welcomed Catonsville back in late August for the Owls season opener which they dominated 7-1 to set the tone for the season. Both Zico Tesheira and Perez Hengoue recorded a hat-trick in the win. Tesheira and Hengoue currently lead the team in goals scored with 17 and 6, respectively.

Prince George's Community College students, staff, and faculty are free to enter Thursday's game with a valid college ID, with the first 50 receiving a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich. All other fans can purchase a ticket for $6 at the gate or in advance using this link. Tickets are available for purchase using a credit or debit card only.

The winner of Thursday's contest will advance to the semi-finals to face the winner of #3 Frederick and #6 WVU Potomac State. Both semi-finals will be held at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland on Wednesday, October 30th before culminating with the championship game on Saturday, November 2nd at Anne Arundel as well.
