7 Owls Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors
Seven Prince George's student-athletes were named to a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Academic Team, which was announced on Thursday, July 24th. All sports that competed in the past year had at least one student earn honors. Men's soccer; Randy Salvador (Second Team), Men's Basketball; Manuel Coronado (Third Team), Michael Osuji (Third Team), and John Osuji (Third Team), Women's Basketball; Kristin Smith (Second Team), Baseball; Enzo Angello (Second Team), and Daryl Nicholas (Third Team).
Student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2024-25 academic year. In all, 13, 915 student-athletes earned All-Academic honors from NJCAA institutions. The criteria for the three All-Academic teams are listed below:
- NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA
- NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA
