Owls Baseball Splits Road Doubleheader at Community College of Allegheny County

Prince George's Community College powered its way to a doubleheader split Saturday at CCAC, winning the opener 14-4 in five innings before falling 6-5 on a walk-off in game two.

The Owls erupted for five runs in the first inning of game one and never looked back. Hollan Holbrook-Noyes (2-for-2, 3 RBIs) led an 11-hit attack, while Akil BarlowJr. and Kolten Hogzett each had two hits. Anderson Ramirez added a solo home run in the fifth. Lyric Hartley earned the win, allowing four runs (three earned) over four innings. PGCC drew nine walks and stole nine bases in the run-rule victory.

In game two, the Owls built a 5-1 lead but couldn't hold off a late CCAC rally. Yudai Ikushima went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and Ramirez added two hits. Barlow struck out four over 5⅓ innings. PGCC swiped eight more bases, but the Wildcats secured the 6-5 win with a run in the bottom of the seventh.

Prince George's returns home Thursday for its Maryland JUCO opener against CCBC Essex at 12 PM.
