Largo, MD. - Men's basketball earned another MD JUCO Conference win against CCBC Dundalk on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 by a final score of 92-80. This win was huge for the team as they continue to climb the conference table.
The Owls men started the game strong defensively and held Dundalk to a season low 24 points in the first half. Their aggressive defensive play led to easy points on the offensive end and helped the Owls to a 22 point lead to end the half.
Dundalk came out aggressive to start the second half and were able to cut the deficit to even the contest at 68 points apiece with 8 minutes to play. This surge by Dundalk also put the Owls men in foul trouble as they tried to slow the opponent's momentum.
Patrick Johnson-Agwu and Cameryn Williams were huge for the Owls down the stretch with timely blocks and rebounds. Johnson's Dunk with 5 minutes left to play seemed to have switched the momentum back in favor of the Owls who held Dundalk to a measly 12 points to close out the game.
The Owls will travel to Hagerstown on December, 12, 2015 to battle Hagerstown. Tipoff is set for 3:00 PM.
