Prince George's Baseball Doubleheader Against Southern Maryland Postponed; Old Fashion Baseball Game Moved To April 21 Against Chesapeake

LARGO, Md. – The Prince George's baseball doubleheader against the College of Southern Maryland, originally scheduled for Thursday in Largo, has been postponed due to field conditions after the winter weather that came through the area on Tuesday and Wednesday. Makeup date and time to be announced.

The doubleheader was also supposed to serve as the Prince George's 50th Anniversary Game for the baseball team. The Old Fashion Baseball Game will now be the Owls home doubleheader against Chesapeake on Saturday, April 21. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.

This marks the second week of the season that Mother Nature had the final word. Prince George's was scheduled to play at CCBC Essex on March 6, at Harford on March 7, at CCBC Catonsville on March 8 and a doubleheader at Garrett on March 10. This week in addition to the Southern Maryland doubleheader, the weather caused the postponement of Tuesday's home game against CCBC Dundalk.

Makeup dates have been announced for CCBC Dundalk (April 2), Garrett (April 22), Harford (April 24), CCBC Essex (April 25) and CCBC Catonsville (May 1). UPDATED

The Owls last played on March 17 against Allegany of Maryland and are scheduled to return to action on March 27 at home against Anne Arundel. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
