Women’s Basketball doing work in the Community
Largo, Md. - Prince George’s Community College women’s basketball team continues to make a big impact off the court with their timely community service. Coach Harris and her team recently participated in the reading segment done at Carole Highlands Elementary School in Tacoma Park Maryland.
"It's important for our players, and the Owls Athletic staff, to participate in community service such as this," said Prince George’s Women’s Basketball head coach Tiona Harris. "This is our county and we are happy to give back as often as we can."
The Athletics Department, Student Athletes and Coaching Staff are all committed to giving back to the surrounding community. By providing opportunities for student-athletes to serve, these young men and women have continued to make meaningful contributions to the society in the past several years.
