Tunde Scrivner, Men's Basketball
Guard Tunde Scrivner has been a rock for the men's basketball program during his two years at Prince George's Community College (2018-20). Scrivner's freshman year saw the Washington D.C. native average 17.5 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game as he primarily came off the bench. Scrivner was a vital piece of the team's 22-6 overall season which resulted in a Region XX Division III Title and finished just short of a trip to the national championship tournament after a narrow loss in the District VII Championship game. Scrivner earned Region XX All-Region First Team honors and was named to the MD JUCO All-Conference Honorable Mention following his freshman campaign.
Scrivner entered his sophomore season as the focal point of the Owls offense and it didn't take too long for others to take notice. He was named the NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Player of the Week during week 9 (January 13-19) after recording consecutive triple-doubles in back-to-back victories over Region XX opponents. Tunde's offensive tear would continue throughout the season which was culminated by a modest 17 point performance against Hagerstown Community College on February 17th during which he recorded his 1,000th career point. The Owls would finish the season as Region XX runners-up as he again earned Region XX All-Region First Team honors and was also named to the MD JUCO All-Conference First Team. Scrivner finished his sophomore season averaging 21.5 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game, and 5.8 assists per game as he started in all 26 of the Owls contests.
