Bio
Taiye Akinmboni will serve as the interim head coach for the men's soccer program for the 2017 season after serving as an assistant coach for the Owls. Akinmboni came back to Prince George's in 2004 as a volunteer coach with the men’s soccer program. He later became the goalkeeper coach before serving as an assistant coach.
Akinmboni played for the Owls in 1998 and 1999, including being a member of the NJCAA Region XX championship team in 1999. After leaving Prince George’s Community College, Akinmboni transferred to Bowie State University and Graduate with a degree in Computer Science in 2003.
He currently holds an USSF “D” National Coaching license. He has over 10 years of coaching experience from National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) to National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).
Akinmboni is married to Abiola Akinmboni and they have two boys Matai and Mikel.
