Prince George's Community College Alumni Games were played on Saturday, October 4. It was a good turnout with each sport showcasing talented players from previous years. The soccer game presented a competitive finish with the score tied at 2 goals apiece with 10 minutes to go. Team blue was able to break the deadlock in the 85th minute and scored three times in five minutes to end the game with a final score of 5-2.
The slow pitch softball/baseball game saw former players competing in the homerun derby and basketball went down to the wire with a buzzer beater that gave team white the two point edge with a final score of 56-54.
The athletic department would like to thank everyone who made the effort to appear at this event. As the games featured former athletes who had travelled from major cities such as Seattle, Miami and Los Angeles.
Mrs. Jo Ann Todaro and the Athletic Department were also pleased to unveil new windscreens for all outdoor fields coupled with Championship and All American banners that showed the successful history of each sport.
