On Friday June 6th 2014, Prince Georges Community College hosted its Students Service Divisional Meeting to revisit its yearly goals and to honor standout staff members. The staff went through a series of presentations to ensure that all were kept abreast of future changes, as well as group exercises by departments to build on the fact that we are here for the students and they come first at all times.

Ms. Melissa Miller supervisor of Athletic Operations was honored as the Unsung Hero for her exemplary work ethic and habits. The votes were tallied based on feedback that was collected from students and staff.

Melissa has worked in the athletic department for the last 8 years and has helped to guide many student athletes to attain their goals of representing the college while earning their associates degree. She carries a wealth of experience that she’s attained from being an alumni and former student athlete of Prince Georges Community College.

According to the Vice President, having a smile on her face, extraordinary patience and always being prepared to help has allowed Melissa to become an exemplary member of staff.
